Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Apex Engineer handles information when you visit our website and use our software. The short version: we run no servers that process your racing data.
1. Information We Never Collect
Apex Engineer does not operate data servers and has no way to see your racing data. We do not collect, store, transmit or process:
- Telemetry data from your simulator.
- Strategy plans, race inputs, settings, or radio calls.
- Hardware information from your device (CPU, GPU, RAM, peripherals, temperatures, etc.).
- Voice audio, unless you connect your own AI provider (see Section 4).
2. How the Software Works Locally
Apex Engineer runs on your own device. It reads simulator data locally through SimHub and runs the race engineer on your machine. Nothing generated by the software is sent to us. We do not operate servers for user data, and we never have access to it.
3. Website Data
Our website is a static page. It does not use cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking scripts.
The website stores a single value in your browser’s local storage (your language preference) so we can show the site in the language you choose. This value stays in your browser and is not sent to us.
The website loads fonts from Google Fonts. When you visit, your browser requests those fonts from Google’s servers, which may involve transmitting your IP address to Google under their privacy policy.
Like any website, our hosting provider may automatically record standard technical data (such as your IP address, browser and operating system) in server logs for security and operation. We do not use this data to profile you.
4. Third-Party Services You Connect
If you choose to connect your own API keys for AI providers, the software sends data directly from your device to that provider under their terms and privacy policy — never through us. We do not receive a copy, and we are not responsible for how those providers handle your data.
5. Payments — Lemon Squeezy
Payments and billing are handled by Lemon Squeezy, a third-party payment processor. When you make a purchase, your payment details go to Lemon Squeezy, not to us. We do not store or see your card details.
Lemon Squeezy has its own privacy policy and its own data processing practices. We do not know how they treat your data, and we are not responsible for their handling of it. We recommend you review their privacy policy before making a purchase.
Through Lemon Squeezy we may receive basic information needed to deliver the service — such as your email address and purchase details — so we can activate your license and provide support.
6. License Activation
The software may contact Lemon Squeezy’s servers to verify your subscription or license. This is handled by Lemon Squeezy under their privacy policy and is not processed by us.
7. Data Retention
We retain no telemetry, strategy, or hardware data because we never receive it. Any basic account or purchase information we receive from Lemon Squeezy is kept only as long as needed to provide the service, comply with the law, or resolve disputes.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including access, correction, deletion, restriction, and portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 12.
9. Security
We store no personal data on our own servers, which limits what could ever be exposed. Where data is handled by third parties (Lemon Squeezy, your AI providers), their security practices apply.
10. Children
The Service is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the ‘Last updated’ date. Continued use of the website or software after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
12. Contact
